Production Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee and manage the production processes of our luxury fashion brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile or fashion production, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless execution of high-quality couture collections, meeting production deadlines, and maintaining the brand’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Management:

  • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of couture collections.
  • Oversee the entire production process, from sourcing materials to final garment construction.
  • Coordinate with designers, pattern makers, and sewing teams to ensure alignment with design specifications and quality standards.

Quality Control:

  • Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections of materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Identify and establish relationships with high-quality suppliers and vendors for materials and production services.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track production expenses and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the production team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among all production team members.

Logistics and Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels of materials and finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production demands.
  • Coordinate logistics for the transportation of materials and finished products, both domestically and internationally.
  • Implement efficient inventory management systems to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all production team members.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Production Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of couture garment construction, materials, and production processes.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
